Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What makes SwimSafer Stage 5 more advanced than earlier stages?
The fifth stage focuses on endurance, speed and rescue techniques. Children will swim further (up to 200 meters in total), learn how to breathe correctly to enhance their endurance, and start rescue operations, such as wearing clothes and life jackets in the water.
2. Why does my child need to swim so many strokes and distances?
Mastering various swimming styles, such as front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, sidestroke and dolphin kick, can help your child prepare for different situations and build up comprehensive swimming ability and underwater confidence.
3. What is the purpose of practicing the H.E.L.P. position?
H.E.L.P (Heat Escape Lessening Posture) helps to keep your body warm in cold water when wearing a life jacket. This is a key skill in real-life water emergencies, and it is also a part of a child’s survival toolkit.
4. Will my child be performing rescue activities too?
Yes, they will learn basic life-saving skills, such as throwing life jackets at people in need and remote safety assistance, which will help to build awareness and a sense of responsibility in the water.
5. Is Stage 5 too intense for younger kids?
Not at all! Our certified teachers ensure that the courses are age-appropriate, progressive and encouraging. Children are challenged in their own safety zone, and we build their strength and skills step by step.
