Delta Swimming Complex
If you live around Tiong Bahru, Redhill or Bukit Merah, swimming lessons can usually happen in one of two places: Delta Swimming Complex, the ActiveSG public pool at 900 Tiong Bahru Road, or your own condominium pool if management allows it. Delta has a sheltered teaching pool and fixed public hours. A condo pool saves travel and is usually quieter, but you need permission first. This page compares the two so you can choose.
Delta Swimming Complex or condo pool: side by side

| Pool admission | Paid to ActiveSG (Singapore Citizen/PR adult $1.00 weekday, $1.30 weekend and public holiday) | Usually none; check your house rules |

| Coach access | Coach pays their own admission | Coach may need visitor registration |
Which suits the learner?
Toddlers and nervous beginners often settle faster in a quiet, familiar condo pool, if it has a shallow area. Delta’s sheltered teaching pool is an alternative when the condo pool is too deep or too busy.
Children working toward SwimSafer stages can prepare in either pool, provided it is long and deep enough for the skills being practised. Preparation, assessment and certification are separate steps, and no number of lessons guarantees a pass.
Adults who want privacy usually prefer a condo pool. Adults training for distance may find Delta’s competition pool more useful.
Learners who need access support should look at Delta’s listed accessibility features, then confirm their own transfer, changing and support needs before the first lesson.
Ladies can request a female coach at either venue, subject to availability. A public pool does not offer women-only surroundings.
Asking your condo management
- Is an outside swimming coach allowed, and is written approval needed?
- Does the coach need to register as a visitor, and at which times?
- Are there limits on lesson hours, the number of learners or use of the shallow area?
- What are the pool’s lightning and closure rules?
Lesson arrangements
Tell us the learner’s age, ability, goals, preferred times and which pool you want to use. We confirm the coach, venue, lesson length, fees and policies before you pay. Ask to see the assigned coach’s current qualifications and first-aid certification. Check current availability: coach schedules change from week to week.

Compare public-pool and condo-pool lesson options
A public swimming complex may suit fixed classes and independent practice. If you prefer less travel or coaching at your residence, compare kids condo swimming lessons, adult condo swimming lessons, and the Singapore condominium lesson directory. Condo sessions remain subject to management permission, pool suitability and coach availability.
Review current lesson rates, then send your condominium and preferred schedule for an availability check.
