The Antares residents can enquire about private or compatible small-group swimming lessons at their condominium pool beside Mattar MRT. Sessions depend on authorised resident access, current management rules, suitable water space, learner needs and coach availability.
CondoSwimming.sg is independent of The Antares, FSKH Development, Hock Lian Seng, Keong Hong, TA Corporation, the MCST, managing agent and management office. Confirm visitor and paid-coaching procedures before arranging a lesson.

Use the 33.3m Starlit Lap Pool as the main course
The issued brochure describes a Starlit Lap Pool measuring approximately 33.3m by 4m. When it is open and sufficiently clear, this narrow course can support measurable freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke repeats.
The approximate dimensions do not establish current depth, entry points or a fully unobstructed line. Before teaching, inspect steps, ledges, water flow and the safest recovery wall. A learner who cannot stand comfortably needs close support and a deliberately chosen working section.
At roughly 4m wide, the pool may have limited room for simultaneous teaching and continuous resident swimming. The coach should work along one side, avoid occupying the complete width and pause when passing space is insufficient.
Beginners can use shorter sections with frequent feedback. Developing swimmers can increase repeat distance while maintaining breathing, alignment and timing.
Keep the aqua-play and spa zones separate
The same facility deck includes a kids’ pool, water spa, aqua spa beds, aqua massage jets and an aqua-play pool measuring approximately 24m by 6m. These facilities have different purposes from the lap course.
The kids’ pool may support early confidence, safe entry, bubbles and assisted movement if its actual depth suits the learner. It may be too shallow for normal floating or stroke mechanics.
The aqua-play pool is larger but its play purpose, jets and surrounding features may interrupt a clear swimming line. Water spa and massage areas can contain turbulence and fixed furniture. None should become an automatic teaching substitute merely because the lap pool is occupied.
Use the approved residential entrance
The Antares has four residential blocks of different heights, two basement levels and a side gate near Mattar MRT. The MRT-side gate may have specific resident and visitor controls; proximity does not make it a public entrance for a visiting coach.
The resident should provide the approved entrance, visitor-registration process, block and exact E-deck meeting point. Ask whether escort, identification or supporting documents are required and whether external paid coaching is permitted. Confirm lesson hours, group-size limits and equipment rules.
Management approval and coach availability are separate. An enquiry does not guarantee access, immediate assignment or a recurring slot.
Programmes for different learners
Children and beginners
Early lessons can cover safe entry, breath control, face immersion, floating, rotation, recovery to the wall and short assisted movement. The teaching position should suit the learner’s height, confidence and recovery ability.
A parent or authorised adult should remain contactable and follow estate supervision requirements. Share relevant medical, sensory, behavioural or water-confidence needs before the first session.
Stroke development and stamina
Independent swimmers can work on freestyle breathing, backstroke alignment, breaststroke timing, turns and controlled pacing. The 33.3m course allows measurable repeats, but technique should remain the priority.
Adult lessons
Adults can begin with breathing and water confidence or focus on more efficient swimming. Anyone anxious in deeper water should disclose this when enquiring so the coach can plan gradual progression.
SwimSafer-related practice
Selected water-confidence, survival and stroke foundations may be practised in a condo lesson. Formal SwimSafer assessment or certification is not automatic at a private condominium pool. Ask what can be taught at The Antares and what may require another venue.
Protect shared deck access
Keep boards and floats controlled, leave entries and circulation routes clear, and avoid occupying the full width. Social and play activity can reduce practical teaching space even when part of the water appears open.
Stop during lightning alerts, unsafe weather, maintenance closures, contamination concerns or management instructions. Modify, pause or reschedule when occupancy makes the planned activity impractical.
What to include in an enquiry
Share the learner’s age and ability, main lesson goal, preferred times, confirmed access status, approved entrance and pool meeting point, and any relevant safety or learning needs.

Frequently asked questions
How long is The Antares lap pool?
The issued brochure describes it as approximately 33.3m long and 4m wide. Current depth and unobstructed usable space should still be checked on site.
Can a beginner use the kids’ pool?
Possibly for early confidence work if its actual depth suits the learner. Progression to a suitable section of the lap pool may be needed.
Can lessons use the aqua-play pool?
Only after management permission and an on-site assessment. Its play purpose, jets and resident activity may make it unsuitable for normal stroke instruction.
Are the spa and massage areas suitable for lessons?
No. Jets, fixed features and specialist leisure purposes differ from a swimming course.
Are private coaches automatically allowed?
No. The resident must confirm current visitor and paid-coaching rules with management.
What happens when the narrow lap pool is busy?
The coach may use a shorter clear section, modify the activity, wait for space or reschedule.
Plan the right condo lesson format
Compare home pool swimming lessons, family condo lessons, current lesson rates, and the condo pool rules guide before enquiring. Pool permission and coach availability must be confirmed for each development.
