Urban Heritage Swimming Lessons

Residents of Urban Heritage may enquire about private swimming lessons in the management-confirmed indoor pool. Coaching may suit selected children, adult beginners and improving swimmers only when the compact pool supports the planned activity, subject to occupied-unit entitlement, resident-authorised access, management permission, low-density shared-use compatibility, safe conditions and coach availability.

CondoSwimming.sg is independent of Urban Heritage, its developer, owners, MCST and managing agent. It cannot grant entry, reserve the pool or approve an external coach. A current resident must arrange authorised access, and management must permit the activity.

A completed Balestier mixed-use development

The developer’s exact-project record identifies Urban Heritage as a completed freehold mixed commercial and residential development at 238 Balestier Road. It contains 15 residential units alongside retail and office space and obtained TOP in August 2015. The developer identifies an indoor swimming pool described historically as 11 metres long.

The compact site and mixed-use setting require a stricter suitability check than a large condominium lap pool. The historical 11-metre description does not guarantee current usable length, depth, clearance or permission for teaching. Management must confirm that the pool remains communal residential water, identify its authorised access route and determine whether paid coaching can coexist with other residents.

Only the management-confirmed indoor swimming pool is proposed. Management should also identify any wading, children’s, spa, jacuzzi, fun, private, reflective, hydrotherapy, jet or decorative water. None is interchangeable with the proposed instructional pool.

Permission and compatibility checks

Confirm external-coach rules, visitor registration, operating hours, participant limits, equipment restrictions, supervision requirements, mixed-use access controls and quiet periods. Resident invitation does not itself authorise paid instruction.

Inspect water clarity, ventilation, entries, recovery edges, depth transitions, deck clearance and the short usable swimming path before every lesson. Adapt, postpone or use another approved venue when the pool is occupied, under maintenance, too shallow, too compact or otherwise unsuitable. Current estate notices and staff directions take priority.

Children’s and adult lessons

Children may practise safe entry and exit, controlled exhalation, floating, rotation and returning to an edge when space and depth permit. A parent or authorised adult resident should arrange access and handover, remain present or immediately contactable, and disclose relevant medical or water-safety needs.

Adult beginners may work on gradual immersion, relaxation, balance, flotation, standing recovery and short controlled travel. Longer continuous stroke work may be impractical in a compact pool. Coaching should normally be one-to-one or otherwise tightly limited unless management expressly permits a compatible group.

Diving, racing starts, forceful turns and prolonged underwater work require verified depth, clear space, readiness and explicit permission. No exclusive use is promised.

SwimSafer-related practice

Selected water-safety foundations and SwimSafer-related skills may be practised when the verified indoor pool supports them. Condo practice is not official SwimSafer enrolment, assessment or certification. Formal participation requires separate registration, an approved venue and an authorised assessment arrangement.

Safety and enquiry details

Stop for contamination, poor visibility, ventilation concerns, maintenance, crowding or management instruction. Keep aids minimal and clear of entries and emergency equipment. Protect resident and commercial-occupant privacy.

Share the learner’s age, ability, goals, timing, occupied-unit connection and relevant safety needs. Confirm access, management permission, indoor-pool identity, ventilation, dimensions, depths, physical suitability and coach availability.
