Thomson Grand Swimming Lessons

Thomson Grand residents can enquire about private or compatible small-group swimming lessons in the condominium’s communal lap pool. Coaching may suit children, adult beginners and swimmers refining technique, subject to occupied-unit entitlement, resident-authorised access, management permission, safe conditions and coach availability.

CondoSwimming.sg is independent of Thomson Grand, its developer, MCST and managing agent. It cannot provide entry, approve an external coach or reserve water space. An eligible resident must confirm current rules.

Confirm the communal lap pool

Current exact-project records identify Thomson Grand as a 361-unit condominium completed in October 2015, with a resident profile and approximately ten active August 2026 resale listings. Recent August 2026 transactions and current listings support occupation. Exact-project listings identify lap and swimming pools while listing a wading pool and jacuzzi separately.

This page proposes the communal lap pool as the teaching area. The wading pool, jacuzzi and any spa, decorative or private water areas are excluded. Management should confirm whether the lap and swimming-pool labels describe separate or connected zones and select the correct teaching area.

Public records do not grant coach access or establish current depth profile, maintenance condition, quiet periods or paid-coaching permission. Confirm visitor procedures, authorised hours, external-coach policy and equipment or group-size limits. The coach should inspect visibility, entries, recovery edges, depth changes, deck clearance and resident activity. No exclusive lane should be assumed.

Children’s swimming lessons

Beginner lessons may build safe entry and exit, controlled exhalation, comfortable immersion, floating, rotation and return to a secure wall. With reliable foundations, practice can add alignment, kicking, coordinated arm movements and breathing over manageable distances.

A parent or authorised adult should manage access and handover and remain contactable. Relevant medical, sensory, behavioural or previous water-safety needs should be shared beforehand so communication and supervision can be adapted.

Adult beginner and stroke coaching

Adults starting from the beginning may focus on relaxation, breathing control, balance, flotation, standing recovery and short, repeatable travel. Existing swimmers may work on efficiency, breathing rhythm, coordination, turns or pacing where the lap-pool layout supports the goal.

Private coaching does not make a shared pool private. Training aids should stay compact and clear of entries and emergency facilities.

SwimSafer-related practice

Selected water-safety foundations and SwimSafer-related skills may be practised where appropriate. A Thomson Grand lesson is not official SwimSafer enrolment, assessment or certification. Formal participation requires a separately confirmed approved venue, registration and assessor arrangement.

Safety and considerate pool use

Coaching should stop for lightning, heavy rain, contamination, poor visibility, maintenance, unsafe crowding or management instruction. Current guest, attire, supervision, noise, photography and equipment rules apply. Residents retain normal use.

What to include in an enquiry

Share the learner’s age, ability, goals, preferred schedule, occupied-unit entitlement, exact block and relevant safety needs. Confirm resident-authorised access, management permission and the communal lap pool before booking.
