The Whitley Residences Swimming Lessons

Residents of The Whitley Residences can enquire about private or compatible small-group swimming lessons in the management-confirmed communal lap pool. Coaching may suit children, adult beginners and swimmers refining technique, subject to occupied-home entitlement, resident-authorised access, management permission, safe current conditions and coach availability.

CondoSwimming.sg is independent of The Whitley Residences, its developer, MCST and managing agent. It cannot grant entry, approve an external coach or reserve pool space. Every visit requires an eligible occupied home and resident authorisation.

Select the lap pool and exclude all leisure water

Current exact-project and developer material identifies The Whitley Residences as a freehold 61-home strata-landed development on Whitley Road. Its fact sheet records TOP on 7 October 2016 and a later CSC date in 2017. Current 2026 project records support its continuing residential identity. Sources identify a communal lap or swimming pool and separately describe a children’s wading pool, wet deck, aqua gym, leisure pool and personal water decks associated with selected homes.

Only the management-confirmed communal lap pool is proposed for instruction. The children’s wading pool, wet deck, aqua gym, leisure pool, every personal or private water deck and all spa, jacuzzi, fun or decorative water areas are excluded. Management must verify whether any labels refer to connected zones and define a single safe teaching boundary.

Management and the coach should verify communal ownership, usable length and width, depths and transitions, visibility, water condition, safe entry and exit points, recovery edges, deck clearance, resident traffic and every boundary from leisure or private water. Public evidence does not establish current lane markings, lifeguard provision, maintenance status or quiet periods.

Management should confirm the exact occupied home, access entitlement, visitor registration, external-coach policy, permitted hours, approved teaching zone, equipment restrictions and supervision or group-size limits. No lane, pool area or time slot should be treated as reserved unless expressly approved.

Children’s swimming lessons

Where the verified lap pool safely supports the activity, beginner sessions may develop safe entry and exit, comfortable immersion, controlled exhalation, floating, rotation and a dependable return to the wall. Learners with stable foundations can practise alignment, kicking, coordinated arm actions and breathing over distances suited to their readiness.

A parent or authorised adult resident should arrange access and handover, remain contactable and follow current supervision requirements. Share relevant medical, sensory, behavioural or earlier water-safety needs before the lesson so communication, pacing and supervision can be adapted. Progress varies and should not be tied to a guaranteed timetable.

The children’s wading pool is excluded even for young beginners. A coach should choose an appropriate depth within the approved lap-pool boundary after checking current conditions.

Adult beginners and stroke development

Adult beginners may work on relaxation, breath control, balance, flotation, standing recovery and repeatable short travel. Existing swimmers may focus on body position, breathing rhythm or coordination through drills suited to the verified lap pool. Diving, turns and endurance sets should not be assumed suitable until present depths, approved zones and traffic are checked.

Approved teaching aids must remain clear of entrances, circulation routes, leisure-water boundaries and emergency equipment. The pool remains a shared residential amenity, so coaching should reduce scope, move or pause whenever safe separation cannot be maintained.

SwimSafer-related practice

Suitable water-safety foundations and SwimSafer-related skills may be practised at The Whitley Residences. Condo practice is not official SwimSafer enrolment, assessment or certification. Formal participation requires separately confirmed registration, an approved venue and an authorised assessment arrangement.

Weather, safety and shared use

Lessons should stop for lightning, heavy rain, strong winds, contamination, poor visibility, maintenance, unsafe crowding or management instruction. Follow current guest, attire, noise, photography and equipment rules. A coach may move, reduce, pause or end an activity whenever conditions become unsuitable.

What to include in an enquiry

Share the learner’s age, present ability, objectives, preferred timing, exact occupied home and relevant safety needs. Confirm resident-authorised access, management permission, the communal lap pool, current conditions and coach availability before booking.
