The Scala Swimming Lessons

The Scala residents can enquire about private or compatible small-group swimming lessons at their Serangoon Avenue 3 condominium pools. Sessions depend on authorised entry, management rules, suitable water space, learner needs and coach availability.

CondoSwimming.sg is independent of The Scala, Hong Leong Holdings, the MCST, managing agent and management office. A resident should confirm visitor and paid-coaching requirements before booking.

Choose between the reported 50m and 30m pools

Current development directories identify a 50m lap pool and a separate 30m swimming pool. The longer pool can support progressive breathing, pacing and endurance; the other may suit shorter technical repeats when its layout and traffic permit.

Reconfirm both dimensions against the final issued plan or management record before publication. Neither label establishes current depth, lane markings or uninterrupted usable distance. Inspect entries, walls, steps, ledges and recovery access before teaching.

Keep beginners beside a dependable recovery edge and choose the water area that fits the learner rather than assuming longer is always better.

Separate children’s, wellness and ecological water

Current records also identify a children’s pool and jacuzzi. The children’s pool may support selected confidence work after its current depth and entries are checked. The jacuzzi is wellness water rather than a substitute for a teaching pool.

The bio-pond and any decorative water are ecological or landscape features and must never be used for lessons.

MRT proximity does not provide residential entry

The Scala is close to Lorong Chuan MRT, but a sheltered path or public station access does not grant entry through the residential side gate or to the pool deck.

The resident should provide the authorised Serangoon Avenue 3 entrance, visitor procedure, block and exact selected-pool meeting point. Follow management instructions rather than approaching through a convenient but unauthorised route.

Share a 468-home facility considerately

Keep drills to one side, control floats and boards, preserve steps and circulation, and avoid claiming a lane. Ask about quieter permitted periods without promising exclusive use.

Stop for lightning alerts, unsafe weather, contamination, maintenance or management instructions. Adapt or end the lesson whenever safe clear space is unavailable.

Suitable lesson pathways

Children and beginners may work on safe entry, breathing, immersion, floating, rotation, assisted propulsion and edge recovery. Independent swimmers can refine freestyle breathing, backstroke alignment, breaststroke timing, turns, pacing and endurance. Adults may begin with confidence or improve efficiency.

A parent or authorised adult should remain contactable for a child. Selected SwimSafer-related foundations may be practised, but formal assessment or certification is not automatically available at The Scala.

What to include in an enquiry

Share age, ability, goals, preferred times, resident status, approved entrance, block, chosen pool, meeting point and relevant safety needs. Confirm management permission and pool operation first.

Frequently asked questions

Does The Scala have both 50m and 30m pools?

Current directories describe a 50m lap pool and 30m swimming pool. Reconfirm the dimensions and current layouts against management or the final plan.

Which pool is better for a beginner?

The safest suitable area depends on current depth, recovery access, traffic and the learner—not length alone.

Is the jacuzzi used for stroke lessons?

No. It is wellness water rather than a conventional teaching pool.

Does Lorong Chuan MRT access provide pool entry?

No. Residential visitor access and management permission must be arranged separately.
