Residents of The Octet can enquire about private or compatible small-group swimming lessons at the condominium at 23 Lorong 24 Geylang. Lessons are considered only after resident-authorised entry, current management permission, suitable pool conditions and coach availability are confirmed.

Learning at the condo pool
The current direct project record identifies The Octet as a completed 56-unit condominium and lists a swimming pool and pool deck. Those directory details establish a relevant facility, but not its present dimensions, depth, operating condition, availability or suitability for a particular learner.
Before a first lesson, the resident should confirm the authorised entrance, visitor procedure and pool rules. The coach must assess the permitted water area, visibility, usable space, crowding, safe entry and exit, and any temporary maintenance restriction. A pool deck is not a separate teaching pool.
Children’s swimming lessons
Children may start with calm entry, water orientation, breathing, balance and supported floating. When readiness is demonstrated, coaching can progress to kicking, propulsion, coordinated strokes and safer independent movement. The plan should reflect the learner’s actual confidence and the verified pool, rather than an assumed programme based only on age.
One-to-one lessons can suit beginners who need close feedback. Sibling or small-group requests require compatible confidence, ability, pace, goals and supervision needs. Separate lessons may be recommended if grouping would compromise attention, safety or useful practice time.
Adult swimming lessons
Adult beginners can work progressively on breathing, buoyancy, body position and controlled movement. Returning swimmers may request confidence rebuilding, stroke feedback or more efficient practice. The feasible activities depend on the permitted pool space and conditions on the day.
Progress differs by learner and is influenced by attendance, practice, prior experience and confidence. No fixed number of sessions or guaranteed distance, stroke or result is promised.
SwimSafer preparation
Condo coaching may help a learner practise swimming and water-safety skills relevant to SwimSafer. It is not automatically official SwimSafer enrolment, assessment or certification. Authorised assessment arrangements are separate, some tasks may require another venue, and no stage result or certificate can be guaranteed.
Booking and management checks
Please provide the learner’s age group, current ability, goals, preferred timing and any relevant medical, sensory, mobility or learning needs. The resident must confirm entitlement to bring in a visitor or paid external instructor and should check management rules before committing to a schedule.
Useful checks include visitor registration, instructor declarations, permitted teaching hours, responsible-adult attendance, equipment restrictions, pool bookings, maintenance notices and lightning procedures. Resident access does not itself prove that paid coaching is permitted.
Safety and shared-pool etiquette
Posted rules and on-site directions take priority. Children and non-swimmers require active supervision. A session must stop during lightning alerts, contamination concerns, unsafe crowding, poor visibility or any other hazard.
Running, unsafe diving, unsupervised entry and breath-holding contests should be avoided. Teaching aids should remain controlled and clear of walkways. Lessons must share the pool considerately and must not imply exclusive use unless management has expressly authorised it.
