The Cotz Swimming Lessons

Residents of The Cotz can enquire about private swimming lessons at the condominium swimming pool. Coaching requires an occupied unit’s facility entitlement, resident-authorised entry, current management permission for an external instructor, a suitable authorised pool and coach availability.

CondoSwimming.sg is independent from The Cotz, its developer, MCST, managing agent and management office. It cannot grant access, reserve facilities or override current condominium rules.

Confirm the exact pool and current rules

Current property records identify The Cotz as a 48-unit condominium completed in January 2012, in one block at 171 Telok Kurau Road. The direct project page shows an owner-and-tenant resident profile, multiple current exact-project sale listings and rental transactions through July 2026. A separate current exact-project record identifies a swimming pool and also refers to a baby pool.

These water areas should not be treated as interchangeable. The enquiry should identify the swimming pool as the proposed teaching area; a baby pool may be too shallow or otherwise unsuitable for an ordinary lesson plan. Management must confirm whether outside paid coaching is permitted, which pool may be used, how the instructor should register, permitted hours, booking procedures and equipment restrictions.

Published evidence relied upon here does not establish pool dimensions, depth, lane availability or current operating condition. The coach must check safe entry and exit, usable depth, visibility, weather, crowding and surrounding activity before selecting exercises. No private lane or exclusive section is promised.

Children’s swimming lessons

A beginning swimmer may start with comfortable entry, water orientation, controlled breathing, supported body balance and floating. As the learner demonstrates readiness, coaching may develop kicking, propulsion, coordinated strokes and safer independent movement. Activities are adjusted to the child and the verified usable space.

One-to-one coaching can support a nervous learner or a child who benefits from close feedback. Siblings or a small group may be considered where confidence, ability, pace, goals and supervision needs align. Significant differences may require separate sessions.

Parents should disclose relevant medical, sensory, mobility or learning considerations in advance. Depending on the learner, management requirements and the coach’s safety plan, a responsible adult may need to remain nearby. Lessons complement but do not replace active supervision outside coaching time.

Adult beginner and stroke coaching

Adults new to swimming can develop confidence gradually through controlled breathing, buoyancy, stable body position and relaxed movement. Returning swimmers may request stroke coordination, pacing or confidence rebuilding where the authorised swimming pool safely supports those goals.

Progress depends on previous experience, health, attendance, practice and current conditions. CondoSwimming.sg does not guarantee a fixed number of lessons, stroke, distance or result.

SwimSafer-related practice

Private coaching may support practice of selected skills relevant to SwimSafer. It is not automatically official SwimSafer enrolment, assessment or certification. Formal programme arrangements remain separate, some components may require another venue, and no certificate is promised through lessons at The Cotz.

Shared-pool safety and etiquette

Posted notices, management directions and staff instructions always take priority. Equipment should remain controlled, circulation routes clear and teaching considerate of residents using either water area.

Lightning, contamination, poor visibility, maintenance work, unsafe crowding or another hazard requires a pause, change or rescheduling. Permission should be reconfirmed if management procedures change.
