The Alcove Swimming Lessons

Residents of The Alcove can enquire about private or compatible small-group swimming lessons at 10 Lorong 27 Geylang. Any lesson depends on resident-authorised entry, current management permission, a suitable permitted swimming pool and coach availability.

CondoSwimming.sg is independent and is not affiliated with The Alcove, its developer, MCST or managing agent. It cannot approve coaching, grant access or reserve the pool.

Verify the teaching pool

The current direct project record identifies The Alcove as a completed 102-unit condominium with active listings. Its facilities list separately identifies a swimming pool and a spa pool. They must not be assumed to offer the same access or teaching conditions.

The resident and management must identify the water area permitted for instruction. Before a programme begins, the coach should verify current operation, depth, visibility, safe entry and exit, usable space, crowding, maintenance notices and booking rules. The spa pool is not an assumed teaching pool.

Children’s coaching

A beginner may start with calm entry, orientation, breathing, balance and supported floating. When control develops, coaching can progress to kicking, propulsion, coordinated strokes and safer independent movement. The lesson sequence should follow demonstrated readiness rather than age alone.

One-to-one teaching can support nervous beginners and learners needing close feedback. Sibling or small-group lessons require compatible ability, confidence, goals, pace and supervision needs. Separate sessions may be safer when those factors differ materially.

Parents should share medical, sensory, mobility or learning needs before the first session. Responsible-adult attendance may remain necessary under current house rules or the coach’s safety plan.

Adult coaching

Adult beginners can work on breathing, buoyancy, stable body position and controlled movement. Returning swimmers may request confidence rebuilding, technique feedback or more efficient practice where the verified pool and shared-use conditions allow it.

Progress varies with previous experience, consistency, practice and confidence. No fixed number of sessions, stroke, distance or outcome is guaranteed.

SwimSafer-related practice

Private condo coaching may support practice of swimming and water-safety skills relevant to SwimSafer. It is not automatically official SwimSafer enrolment, assessment or certification. Authorised arrangements remain separate, some tasks may require another venue, and no stage result or certificate is promised.

Booking and shared-use safety

Please provide the learner’s age group, ability, goals, preferred timing and relevant support needs. The resident must confirm visitor access and current management permission for a paid external instructor.

Checks may include visitor registration, instructor declarations, allowed hours, responsible-adult attendance, equipment limits, reservations, maintenance closures and lightning procedures. Permission for the swimming pool does not imply permission for the spa pool.

Posted rules and on-site directions take priority. Children and non-swimmers require active supervision. Lessons must stop during lightning alerts, contamination concerns, poor visibility, unsafe crowding or another hazard. Teaching aids should remain controlled and clear of access paths.
