The Acacias Swimming Lessons

Residents of The Acacias at 21–25 Sommerville Road may enquire about private or compatible small-group swimming lessons in the management-confirmed communal main or lap pool. Sessions may suit children, adult beginners and swimmers refining technique, subject to occupied-unit entitlement, exact-building confirmation, resident-authorised access, management permission, safe current conditions and coach availability.

CondoSwimming.sg is independent of The Acacias, its developer, owners, MCST and managing agent. It cannot grant entry, reserve facilities or approve an external coach. A current resident must arrange authorised access, and management must permit the activity.

Verify the estate and teaching pool

Current exact-project records identify The Acacias as a completed 65-unit development across three Sommerville Road buildings. July 2026 sales and rental transactions, together with current listings, support continuing occupation.

Published facility records use both “swimming pool” and “lap pool” labels and separately identify a wading pool, family pool, jacuzzi, reflecting pools and water features. Management must confirm whether the main and lap labels describe one teaching water area or separate pools. Only the management-confirmed main or lap swimming area is proposed. Wading, family, jacuzzi, reflective, children’s, spa, fun, private, hydrotherapy, jet and decorative water is excluded.

No reliable current dimensions, depths, lane markings or water connections were verified. Management should confirm the complete inventory and the boundaries between the proposed teaching pool and every excluded area before booking.

Access and first-lesson checks

Confirm the eligible occupied unit and exact building, resident entitlement, visitor registration, external-coach policy, operating hours, participant limits, equipment rules, supervision requirements and booking process. Resident invitation does not itself authorise paid coaching.

Before teaching, inspect clarity, entries, recovery edges, depth transitions, deck clearance and the usable path. Confirm whether any pool edges or circulation connect to excluded water. If conditions are crowded, obstructed, too shallow or unsuitable, adapt, use another approved venue or stop. Estate notices and staff directions take priority.

Children’s swimming lessons

When the inspected main or lap pool suits the learner, children may practise safe entry and exit, controlled breathing, floating, rotation and returning to an edge. Learners with dependable foundations may develop alignment, kicking, coordinated arms and breathing over suitable distances.

A parent or authorised adult resident should arrange access and handover, remain present or immediately contactable, and follow supervision rules. Share relevant medical, sensory, behavioural and previous water-safety needs. Small groups require compatible learners, sufficient clear space and management permission. All excluded water remains out of scope.

Adult lessons and technique

Adult beginners may build comfort through relaxation, balance, flotation, standing recovery and short travel. Existing swimmers may refine body position, rhythm, propulsion, timing and breathing through drills fitted to the verified swimming path.

Diving, racing starts, forceful turns and prolonged underwater work require verified depths, clear space, readiness and explicit permission. Shared residential use takes priority. No fixed result or timetable should be promised.

SwimSafer-related practice

Suitable water-safety foundations and SwimSafer-related skills may be practised if the verified teaching pool supports them. Condo practice is not official SwimSafer enrolment, assessment or certification. Formal participation requires separate registration, an approved venue and an authorised assessment arrangement.

Safety and etiquette

Stop for lightning, heavy rain, contamination, poor visibility, maintenance, crowding or management instruction. Keep aids clear of entrances and emergency equipment, minimise noise and avoid photographing residents. Do not publish unit details or access codes.

What to include in an enquiry

Share the learner’s age, ability, goals, timing, occupied-unit connection, exact Sommerville Road building and safety needs. Confirm resident-authorised access, management permission, current pool labels and boundaries, safe conditions and coach availability.
