# Midtown Modern Swimming Lessons
Midtown Modern residents can enquire about private or small-group swimming lessons at their condominium pool. Lessons are possible only when the resident has authorised access, current management rules allow the arrangement, the pool area suits the learner and a coach is available.

CondoSwimming.sg is independent of Midtown Modern, GuocoLand, the MCST, managing agent and management office. Residents should check the current rules for visitors and paid coaching before confirming a session.

Swimming lessons in a completed Bugis residence
GuocoLand’s 2025 annual report describes the full completion of Guoco Midtown II, which includes Midtown Modern, and says residents were progressively moving in. Midtown Modern comprises 558 homes in two 30-storey towers. Developer materials identify a 50-metre swimming pool within the Level 3 gardens.
The pool length may support stroke practice, but it does not guarantee teaching access or beginner suitability. Actual depth, lane activity, safe entry, resident use and current rules must be considered for every lesson.
Lesson options for different swimmers
Children learning water confidence
Early sessions can build safe entry and exit, bubbles, floating, recovery to a secure position and short independent movement. A beginner should work in a calm, appropriate area rather than being expected to cover the full pool length.
Children improving strokes
Learners who already move independently can work on body position, breathing and efficient freestyle, backstroke or breaststroke. The coach should choose distances that preserve technique and avoid interfering with residents swimming laps.
Adult beginners and fitness swimmers
Private lessons may focus on anxiety, breathing, stroke timing or endurance. Adults can request a discreet lesson format and quieter preferred times, subject to facility hours and coach availability.
Visitor access in an integrated development
Because Midtown Modern is part of a larger mixed-use destination, do not assume that public access to nearby retail or transport areas extends to residential facilities. Ask management which residential entrance a coach should use, whether pre-registration or identification is required, whether the resident must escort the coach, and whether external paid instruction is permitted.
Also confirm any restrictions on teaching equipment, session timing, group size and the part of the pool that may be used. The resident remains responsible for lawful access.

Busy shared-pool etiquette
Use only the space required, keep aids clear of walkways and avoid loud instruction. A 50-metre pool can attract lap swimmers, so lessons should not occupy an entire lane unless management has explicitly allowed it. Stop for lightning alerts, maintenance closures or any instruction from security or management.
Rates and information to send
Review the published swimming lesson rates, then provide the learner’s age, ability, goals, confidence, preferred schedule, group details and relevant support needs. Include Midtown Modern as the location and say whether management has approved external coaching.
Midtown Modern swimming lesson FAQ
Can a private coach teach at Midtown Modern?
Possibly, if the resident has valid access, current condo rules permit external coaching, an appropriate pool area is available and a suitable coach can be matched.
Does a 50-metre pool suit young beginners?
Length is not the deciding factor. Depth, entry, supervision, confidence, crowding and the approved teaching area matter more. A beginner can practise over short distances.
Can the coach enter through the mall or MRT connection?
Do not assume so. Confirm the correct residential visitor route and registration procedure with management before the lesson.
Are sibling lessons available?
They may be possible when ages, abilities and goals are compatible and the condominium permits the proposed group size. Separate instruction may be safer or more productive for learners with different needs.
Can I request a female swimming coach?
Yes. Add the preference to the enquiry. Matching depends on lesson requirements, location, timetable and coach availability.
