Residents of Hertford Collection can enquire about private or compatible small-group swimming lessons in a management-confirmed lap pool. Coaching may support children, adult beginners and swimmers improving technique, subject to occupied-unit entitlement, resident-authorised access, management permission, safe current conditions and coach availability.
CondoSwimming.sg is independent of Hertford Collection, its developer, MCST and managing agent. It cannot grant entry, approve an external coach or reserve pool space. An eligible resident must verify current access and facility rules.

Confirm the lap pool before teaching
Current exact-project evidence identifies Hertford Collection as an occupied freehold development completed in January 2013, with 25 units in one five-storey block at 40 Hertford Road. Active August 2026 listings, a current resident market, an August 2025 resale and rental transactions through June 2026 support continued occupation. Exact-project sources identify a lap pool separately from a pool deck, while project-engineering evidence confirms a residential apartment with swimming pool and pool glass railing.
Only a management-confirmed lap or main swimming pool is proposed for instruction. The pool deck is excluded, together with every wading, children’s, spa, jacuzzi, fun, private or decorative water area. A deck, pond, fountain or water feature is not teaching water.
The term “lap pool” does not prove current dimensions, depth, lane markings, maintenance condition, quieter periods or permission for paid external coaching. Management and the coach should confirm usable length and width, safe entries, recovery edges, visibility, depth transitions, glass-railing and deck clearance, resident traffic and whether the learner’s objective suits the actual pool.
Management should also confirm occupied-unit entitlement, exact unit, resident-authorised access, visitor registration, external-coach policy, approved teaching zone, permitted hours, supervision requirements and equipment or group-size limits. No exclusive lane, reserved area or private use should be assumed.
Children’s swimming lessons
Beginner lessons may develop safe entry and exit, comfortable immersion, controlled exhalation, floating, rotation and a dependable return to the wall. When foundations are stable, teaching can add alignment, kicking, coordinated arm actions and breathing over distances appropriate to the learner and verified pool.
A parent or authorised adult should organise access and handover, remain contactable and follow current supervision rules. Medical, sensory, behavioural or earlier water-safety needs should be disclosed beforehand so pacing, communication and supervision can be adapted. Progress depends on readiness and consistent practice rather than a promised timetable.
Children should not wait or practise on the pool deck or in any unverified shallow, spa, leisure, private or decorative area.
Adult beginners and stroke improvement
Adult beginners may work on relaxation, breathing control, balance, flotation, standing recovery and repeatable short travel. Existing swimmers may focus on body position, breathing rhythm, coordination, efficiency, turns or pacing when the management-confirmed lap pool safely supports the goal.
The first session should match tasks to confidence and actual conditions. General fitness does not replace an in-water assessment. Distance and complexity should increase gradually, and management-approved aids must remain clear of entrances, circulation routes and emergency equipment.
SwimSafer-related practice
Suitable water-safety foundations and SwimSafer-related skills may be practised at Hertford Collection. A condo lesson is not official SwimSafer enrolment, assessment or certification. Formal participation requires separately confirmed registration, an approved venue and an authorised assessment arrangement.
Weather, safety and shared use
Lessons should stop for lightning, heavy rain, strong winds, contamination, poor visibility, maintenance, unsafe crowding or management instruction. Singapore weather can change quickly, so a booking cannot guarantee safe conditions. Follow guest, attire, noise, photography and equipment rules, keep entries and recovery edges clear, and move, shrink, pause or end instruction as resident activity changes.
What to include in an enquiry
Share the learner’s age, ability, objectives, preferred timing, occupied-unit entitlement, exact unit and relevant safety needs. Confirm resident-authorised access, management permission, lap-pool suitability, current conditions and coach availability before booking.
