URA records Coastline Residences as a 144-home development completed in Q4 2023. Project materials describe two 21-storey blocks and interconnected sea-facing pools, including a 50m lap course and water-gym facilities.
The 50m route is the logical choice for long-course freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke work. Because it sits within a broader interconnected water design, coaches should verify where the swimming course begins and ends and whether connecting areas introduce ledges, turns, jets or resident crossings.
Match teaching to the course
Young children need a calm section with secure entry and recovery; they do not need to complete a full length. Beginners can practise bubbles, gliding, kicking and breathing over short sections. Stroke learners can use full 50m lengths when the route is clear, with a return trip totalling 100m.
Adults may request one-to-one confidence, technique or fitness coaching. Include several possible times; exclusive use cannot be promised.
Separate swimming and water-gym functions
A water gym may contain jets or fixed exercise features and should not replace the lap course for ordinary stroke teaching. Interconnected water does not mean every section has the same depth or purpose.
