Separating the lap pool from other water areas
Claydence is a completed 28-unit residential development on Still Road. Current exact-project rental listings from May 2026 describe just-TOP, move-in-ready homes, supporting current residential occupation. Current project records identify a communal lap pool, aqua deck and jacuzzi as distinct features.
Only the current management-confirmed lap pool may be considered for coaching. The aqua deck, jacuzzi and every children’s, wading, spa, fun, private, reflective, hydrotherapy, jet or decorative water area are excluded. Marketing sources vary between a lap-pool label and a published 19-metre dimension, so management and the coach must verify the operating pool’s current usable length, width, depths, safe entry and exit and maintenance condition.
The term “lap pool” does not guarantee an unobstructed training lane or suitability for every learner. Resident use, water depth and clear space must be checked for each session.
Lessons for children and adults
Children can work on safe entry and exit, calm breathing, floating, balance, recovery and early propulsion. Stroke foundations may follow when the learner is ready and the verified lap pool offers suitable depth and clear space. A parent or authorised adult should remain nearby and follow supervision instructions.
Adults may begin as complete beginners, rebuild confidence after a break or improve fundamental technique. Nervous learners can start with relaxed exhalation, supported balance and short controlled movements near a suitable edge. Continuous drills depend on verified usable space and resident activity rather than the marketing name of the pool.
SwimSafer-related skills may be practised, but lessons at Claydence are not official SwimSafer enrolment, assessment or certification. Official stages and awards require an authorised programme and assessment venue.
Access, safety and resident priority
Claydence is private residential property, not a public swimming complex. An eligible occupied-unit resident must confirm facility entitlement, guest registration, external-coach permission, permitted hours, group-size limits and equipment restrictions with management or security. A current rental listing establishes availability, not pool or coaching rights.
Lessons should use a compact area, avoid busy periods, keep noise low and yield promptly to residents. Sessions stop during lightning risk, maintenance, contamination, poor visibility, unsafe deck conditions or official closure. No lifeguard is assumed. Children and non-swimmers require active adult supervision outside coached lesson time.
